Claudia Guzmán, MSC Director

Claudia E. Guzmán has served as Director of the Multicultural Student Center since August 2020. In this role, Claudia leads a team responsible for providing programming, leadership development, resources, and support in an effort to foster an inclusive campus where students of color can realize an authentic Wisconsin experience.

Through her previous roles as Director of Student Life at UW-Green Bay and Sociocultural Program Manager at UW-Milwaukee, Claudia brings a wealth of experience in co-curricular programming, social justice leadership development and multicultural student organization support. She has also served as an adjunct instructor in media writing, and has experience with fund development and community engagement.

Born and raised in Milwaukee, Claudia graduated magna cum laude from Wellesley College and holds a Master’s degree from Marquette University. She is currently pursuing an EdD in Organizational Change and Leadership at the University of Southern California’s Rossier School of Education. She loves reading and writing, hiking and camping, arts and crafts, movies, and above all, family – she has five siblings, nine nieces and nephews, and a cat named Radar.

Claudia is extremely happy to be part of the Badger community, and looking for opportunities to meet students, listen to their needs and provide support. Please reach out and introduce yourself!
