RSOs are allowed to reserve space for fundraiser events if they follow university policy and align with the mission of the MSC. Please note: General Red Gym areas like the first-floor entrance space are not part of the MSC. The MSC is not responsible for any Red Gym entry way tabling. The Art Gallery on the 2nd floor is a reservable space through the unions. please contact events@union.wisc.edu with questions.
Requirements
- Student organizations must be registered on WIN to be considered.
- All fundraiser events must occur within the MSC’s standard hours of operations.
- Fundraiser events must be for charity or for the RSOs operation
- No political fundraisers are permitted
- RSOs must get MSC flyer approval for event advertisement
- Event advertisements should include the event location/s and clearly state that the event is sponsored by the RSO, not the MSC.
- Sales are limited to UW students, staff, and faculty.
- Groups reserving MSC space will be financially responsible for any damages to MSC property during the reservation.
Space Use Guidelines
- Fundraising may not disturb or prevent usage of the space and/or in the MSC
- This includes but is not limited to excessive volume, loud music, etc.
- Fundraisers may not block entry or passageways or prevent others from accessing the space and/or MSC.
- Groups reserving the Org suite high table must not block the snack and go to the printer/office areas.
Food Fundraisers
- Only pre-cooked meals will be allowed.
- Orgs must use table clothes and wipe down areas before and after the fundraiser.
- Org must complete the Temporary Food Service Application.
- Approved applications are due to the MSC (mscreservations@wisc.edu) at least 1 week before the fundraiser date.

To request space for a fundraiser, please make sure you meet all of the requirements and then fill out our form below. For food fundraisers, submit your Temporary Food Service Application to us at least 1 week before fundraiser.
