How to make an after-hours request:

Fall 2024 requests will begin September 19, 2024. For questions prior to the start, email us at mscreservations@studentaffairs.wisc.edu.

After-hours events must be requested at least 3 weeks in advance. The MSC’s ability to host after-hours events is dependent on having sufficient staff to work. The MSC will confirm the ability to host your event at the latest one week prior to the event. Groups interested in requesting space for an after hours event must fill out the following form.

After-Hours Cancellations and No-Shows

If a space is no longer needed for an after-hours event, you must let the MSC know at least 24 hours in advance. If the event is on a Sunday, please call and email by Friday. Failure to do so may result in revoking of room privileges.

Requirements for Organizations

  • 5-star orgs cannot have more than 3 after-hours events per semester
  • Organizations in poor standing with the Multicultural Council cannot hold or request after-hour events meaning:
    • All paperwork, required meetings, and completed evaluations must be submitted before an after-hours request will be approved.
  • The MCC Grant requires a location confirmed by the time of the org’s respective grant hearing. However, orgs cannot make a reservation on Skedda more than 30 days in advance. Orgs awarded the MCC Grant may create an MSC reservation (before the Skedda booking window) by emailing mscreservations@studentaffairs.wisc.edu with the information of their event and the MCC award notice. Emails should have a clear subject line and high priority marking to ensure the request is prioritized.
