Position title: Latinx Cultural Center Program Coordinator
Cristian Noriega (He/Him/His) serves as the Program Coordinator for the Latinx Cultural Center. Cristian is a recent graduate from the Higher Education Master’s program at Loyola University-Chicago. During his time there he was part of the executive board for his academic program, an editor for the Journal of Critical Scholarship in Higher Education and Student Affairs, and began conducting research on Undocumented Queer Students of Color. His work focuses on the dismantling of barriers between our higher education institutions and minoritized individuals. Cristian brings experiences pertaining to mentorship for students of color, Queer initiatives and trainings, as well as knowledge of family relations within Latinx communities. Cristian is excited to provide his skills in building the Latinx Cultural Center into an effective space for Latinx Students and their multi-faceted identities.
