Advisory Board

The advisory board is a collective that provides advice and support for the longevity of the BCC and its’ constituents. The advisory board shall hear concerns, provide input on the mission, strategic planning, programmatic efforts, and overall trajectory of the BCC.

General responsibilities of board members:

  • Serve as ambassadors of the BCC to stakeholders across and beyond the UW community
  • Offer feedback on the general management of the BCC
  • Provide strategic advice on successfully meeting the needs of Black and African-American communities at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

The Inaugural Black Cultural Center Advisory Board convened on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at 12pm. Students serve one year terms on the board, and faculty and staff serve two year terms.
