Lodging & Transportation

Lodging: Overnight accommodations are available through the Lowell Center (610 Langdon Street, 608-256-2621). We have reserved a block of rooms at the Lowell Center between March 14-16, 2013. Parking: Public parking is available at State Street Campus Garage (415 N Lake St. Madison, WI 53715).

Transportation: Scheduled shuttle service will be available from the Dane County Regional Airport (MSN) to UW-Madison campus. Other airports near Madison include Milwaukee Mitchell Airport (MKE), Chicago O’Hare (ORD) or Chicago Midway (MDW).

If you are traveling from…

Chicago:

  • Take I-90W/I-39N to Exit 142A on the left to merge onto US-18 W/US-12 W toward Madison
  • Take exit 261A/261B for US-151 N/Park Street.
  • Turn right onto US-151 N/S. Park St.
  • Continue onto Park Street and turn right onto Langdon.
  • Destination will be on the left.

Milwaukee:

  • Take I-94W and continue onto WI-30 W. (You will see signs for Madison.)
  • Take US 151 S exit toward State Capitol and turn right onto US-151 S/E. Washington Ave.
  • Turn right onto 1st Street.
  • Turn left onto E. Johnson St. until it becomes Gorham Ave.
  • Turn right onto Wisconsin Ave. and make a slight left onto Langdon St.
  • Desintation will be on the right.

Minneapolis/St. Paul:

  • Take 94E to Exit 132 to merge onto US-51 South.
  • Turn right onto E. Washington Ave.
  • Turn right onto 1st Street.
  • Turn left onto E. Johnson St. until it becomes Gorham Ave.
  • Turn right onto Wisconsin Ave. and make a slight left onto Langdon St.
  • Desintation will be on the right.

Bus Options

  • Megabus travels to Madison – U. of Wisc., UW Memorial Union (800 Langdon Ave.) from Chicago (Union Station) and Minneapolis (Parking lot on Chicago Ave between S 3rd St and S Washington Ave).
  • Badger Bus travels to UW Memorial Union from Milwaukee. View the schedule for stop details.

While a continental breakfast, lunch, and light reception are available to attendees, feel free to browse our brief list of restaurants that are within a 5-10 minute walking distance the Multicultural student Center.
