The Hmong American Student Association (HASA) was “established to promote higher education and serve as a bridge between students, community leaders, and scholars within the Hmong community and the broader American community.” They also address the concerns and needs of students and the Hmong community, provide leadership opportunities for aspiring students, serve as a channel to develop, display, and showcase the talents and creativity of the their members. One of HASA’s major annual events is Hmong Culture Night, which celebrates Hmong culture and its presence on this university through language.
