and meetings on campus and in the Greater Madison Community. Below you will find a list of scheduled events, activities,
and meetings for the month. For more information about these activities, please contact the individual/organization
hosting the event.

Coming off an appearance on the PBS's Walt Whitman documentary, and on a short Midwest junket in part to promote his latest collection, Republic of Poetry, Martin called to tell us that he really wanted to do something in Madison, his old stomping ground, around May Day.
Welcoming Espada and also reading will be Madison's recently-appointed poet laureate, Fabu Mogaka. And leading off the evening will be the local poetic word wizards, Chicano voice Eric Mata and spoken word talent Josh Healey.
That's at the Escape Java Joint, 916 Willy Street, on Saturday, May 3rd, jumping off at 7:00pm.
Free and open to the public, with part of the proceeds from books sale and donations going to the John Tuschen Memorial Fund of the Madison Community Foundation |
