The Multicultural Student Center
The Multicultural Student Center (MSC) is a unit of the Division of Student Life and is located on the second floor of The Old Red Gym, 716 Langdon St.
In keeping with the Center's historic legacy, the primary mission of the Multicultural Student Center is: To collaboratively strengthen and sustain an inclusive campus where all students,

What's going on at the MSC?
Threads: Connecting You to the MSC Threads is the UW-Madison Multicultural Student Center (MSC) blog. In September, the MSC launched Tapestry, our monthly newsletter geared at students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members. As an online extension of Tapestry, Threads is like our newsletter’s sassier, quirkier and more loquacious sibling. With a focus on multiculturalism, social justice, leadership and diversity, we will: cover news and events; feature photos, art and essays; provide tips on careers, technology, health and more; spotlight cultural celebrations and media trends; explore and discuss issues on campus and in the community.
IJET Programming Theme 2012-13: Race and Place Race & Place: Land, Location, Migration, and Colonization will be our programming theme for the 2012-2013 academic year, and it will also be the theme for our national symposium in the spring.
We encourage academic units, other campus departments, and student
organizations to submit programming ideas (speakers, political figures,
scholars, artists, etc) that coincide with our theme. Partners would commit
to supporting this program: for example, academic units would commit to
this collaborative programming by incorporating it into classroom education
during the academic year through guest lectures, extra credit, writing
assignments, etc.
All accepted ideas would be partially or fully funded and organized by the
MSC. Official submission forms are forthcoming and the deadline will be
around June 15, 2012. Please contact Donte Hilliard for further information.
